Transgender individuals should be allowed to use the bathroom that aligns with the gender they are transitioning to. Transgender individuals only want to use the bathroom to use the toilet, to check themselves in the mirror, and to wash their hands. The most a transgender individual will do to you in the bathroom is try to make a conversation.
The main anti-transgender bathroom bill argument is rapists are going to use it to rape women. This argument is more targeted towards transgender females (MTF).
Side note: I’m sorry transgender girls that is the truth. There is less of an argument in allowing transgender males into the men bathrooms. It is extremely less common for humans with vaginas to rape someone.
I am going to factually prove to you that passing a pro-transgender bathroom bill is not going to reduce or increase rapists from raping.
The reason most people rape is because we live in a society that accepts this rape culture. Rape culture has no correlation with transgender individual. If you want to stop rapists, you need to address the route of why people rape. One huge reason on why these men rape is because they know they will get away with rape. They also believe they are entitled to sex so they rape.

Quoting Criminal Justice System: Statistics
“Out of every 1,000 rapes, 994 perpetrators will walk free” (3)
So let’s connect the dots. Men know that they will get away with it because there is a 60% chance that women will not even report it. And if a woman does report it there is a 99.4% chance the men will walk away with no charges. Also keep in mind, most men believe they are entitled to sex. If they believe they are entitled to sex and the justice system is on there side, they will rape, especially since they will get away. United States of America has a rape culture, that is excepted consciously or subconsciously.
These rape culture examples are beliefs that are taught to children. If we want to reduce rape we need to unteach these rape cultural beliefs and not teach it to the future generations. We need to teach children no one is entitled to sex. We need to teach boys that they are not sexually aggressive creatures, only if they choose to be. We are not primitive animals anymore, we are intelligent human beings, so let’s start acting like we are intelligent human beings, instead of “sexually aggressive” savages. Also, the justice system needs to punish and looked down on rapists, instead of giving them encouragement.
Back to why pro-transgender bathroom bill not increase rape. Do you really think men, who have no respect for women, are going to stop raping women if there is no bathroom bill? They are not going to stop raping women. You want to know why? With or without the bathroom bill, we still live in a society that encourages rape culture. We still have these men with these rape cultural beliefs. These beliefs that men are entitled to sex and women deserve it. The fact that only .6% of the 40% reported rapes will face punishment is proof that our justice system, our society, encourages rape. The pro-transgender bathroom bill will not affect this rape culture.
Politicians need to stop using rapists as there excuse for there transphobia. Trying to exclude transgender individuals in society by denying them access to public bathroom, public space, is transphobia. The only gain there is from anti-transgender bathroom bills is that transgender individuals are being excluded from public space, which will make their lives more difficult. As I just proved to you, a pro-transgender bathroom bill will not change this rape culture. If politicians really wanted to reduce rape, they would address the real issue, which is the rape culture.
Politicians are not going to address the rape culture. These politicians are rapists and sexual harassers themselves, for example, Donald Trump, Lawrence Lockman, Dennis Hastert, and so many more. They are not going to do anything about the rape culture that exists in the United States of America. If politicians want to use rape as an excuse for there transphobia than let’s (us the people) start addressing why rape happens in the first place. If politicians are actually so worried about women safety and comfort than let’s start addressing this rape culture. As a society, let’s actually talk about what is truly going on in our society. Let’s talk about it for women to feel more safe and comfortable and transgenders individuals to be able to fit into society because they both deserve that right as human beings. By talking, bring awareness, shining light on this issue, it can help women who are rape victims.
